"Well the wood keeps burnin' in the old wood stove,
And the cows keep goin' where they done been drove;
And a light keeps glowin' in Dead Man's Cove,
And a loom keeps spinnin' where the weave gets wove."
- Steve Cash , from the "Quilt" Album

NEW DAREDEVILS BOOK!

At last, a book written about The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, by one of its own, has been released.  Written by bassist Michael 'Supe' Granda, "IT SHINED - The Saga of The Ozark Mountain Daredevils" is an expose of the life and times of the band in and out of the spotlight, on and off of the stage, and from the top of the charts to the bottom of the barrel.  Not only will you find humorous anecdotes about the music (i.e. Jackie Blue's sex change and Chicken Train's acquisition of its chicken squawking solo), you will learn about the rigors of the road both here and abroad.  Follow the path of the band from its beginnings at the New Bijou Theater in 1971 to one of their last gigs on the stage of the Shrine Mosque in 2004.  In between those dates you will find a cornucopia of stories - some good, some bad, some ugly, all entertaining.  Though the band went through many personnel changes, 'Supe' remained constant.  While others came and went, 'Supe' stood center stage, leading the mayhem with musicianship and humor, both of which can be found within the book.

We have the book in stock and are taking orders now.  For more information and how to obtain your copy, click on the album cover below.

In recent times founding member of The Daredevils, Michael ‘Supe’ Granda has done some recording projects of his own.   Some of you may already know of this, but he has several CDs out with some great songs.  We are now carrying his CDs in our Merchandise Department.  You can check them out by clicking on the album cover below.

We all want to welcome our new lead guitar player Dave Painter to the group as a regular member.  Dave is an accomplished player and gives the songs that original touch that we all love.  He is also a music teacher, and happened to learn a lot of his skills by playing The Daredevils music with his older brother years ago.  We can count on Dave to provide a great addition to the band.

Also, the band now includes keyboards once again.  Beginning with the Gillioz Theater Concert, Kelly Brown has been providing great keyboard work for the group.  Kelly is a very skilled musician that has played music for many years both in and out of the Springfield, Missouri music scene.  Kelly's addition to the band has revived more of the original sound.  It's great to have him onboard.

WE HAVE GREAT T-SHIRTS AND MORE!

Be sure to check out the great T-Shirts, and the band's latest Studio CD "13".  Due to popular demand we now have a “Men From Earth” T-shirt.  It is a great looking shirt!  We also have a simple design of just the band’s name on another shirt.  It is also very nice looking.  Both of them are available through our Merchandise Department.  We are now offering some special pricing on the shirts & CDs.  Click on the album cover below to go to our Merchandise Department where you will find pictures and ordering information.

Founding Daredevils member, songwriter, harmonica player and singer Steve Cash has written and published his second novel.

“TIME DANCERS”, published by Del Rey, is now available at all major

booksellers.  TIME DANCERS is also Book Two of THE MEQ trilogy, so if you haven't met Z and his friends yet, we suggest you do so immediately by reading “THE MEQ”.  The adventure is addictive!

The Meq” is the first novel from Steve.  The flavor is refreshingly unusual, with a secret race of childlike immortals--the Meq--groping after a lost heritage while decade after decade of human history ticks by.  It was published in England in 2004 and by Del Rey Publishing (Random House) in the USA in January 2005.

Check them out at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com, Border's Books and Music, Barnes & Noble, and other major walk-in or online outlets.  Click on the link below, where you can obtain more information and purchase your copy.

"Concert Classics - Vol 8" (very poor quality)
"Alive In America" - Renaissance Records - (same recordings as "Concert Classics")
"Masters Of The Road" (same recordings as "Concert Classics")
"Greatest Hits" - Cleopatra label (same as "Jackie Blue" CD)
"Country Gold Ozark Mountain Daredevils" - Their Greatest Hits - Galaxy label (same as Jackie Blue CD)
"Our Most Dangerous Stunts" - Music Avenue label (same as Jackie Blue CD)
"Ozark Mountain Daredevils Sing Their Best" - Country Roads label (same as Jackie Blue CD)

Sometimes things are done with our material that does not meet our approval. We can't always control that, and thought you should know. Please feel free to write us about anything else you may want to express via the email address on this site. - Thank You
