Steve Simmons - bass guitar and harmony vocals
Steve started out in the mid sixties
playing bass in a number of garage bands with high school friends. In the mid
70’s he joined the Grand Pass band which, at that time, was a country
rock/classic/southern rock band. That band stayed together for about four years
and broke up in the late seventies. He went on to play in several other bands
with his younger brother Ron and the Roadmasters current drummer Craig Williams
in the Clay Southern band, Inside Straight, X-static and Borderline. Those bands
played everything from country to top 40 and everything in between. Steve has
played a number of large festivals and venues in towns east of Kansas City over
the last 30 years. In 1998 the Roadmasters were formed and went public. The
Roadmasters have a well rounded blend of styles that complement each other and
show up in their original songs. Steve enjoys his family first, which consist of
his wife Paula, daughter, Alicia and son, Dakota. Then there is music,
songwriting, recording, Harleys, Golf, Fishing and the Internet.
