Dave Morton began playing guitar back in High School in a
small quiet town called Holland Patent, N.Y. After high school, David
moved back to the state he was raised in - Maine - where he began performing in
numerous rock and roll acts. That era of his life was full of magical and
wonderful moments with gigs abounding and money to be made! One gig he had
was with a Punk band called "The Stains" which also included his
Sister Beth on Bass guitar. After the Stains, Dave went back to playing in
a top 40 gig which was good money and his sister started another band with a
young lady by the name of Bebe Buell (Liv Tyler's mom). Dave worked a
while as a lighting tech for that band as well as doing his top 40 gig - Lots of
fun times back then!
In 1985, he moved to the Kansas City area and settled down to live. He now
lives in Blue Springs, MO with his son Bradley. In or about 1998-1999,
Dave's last gig (Bungalow Tension) broke up and he soon had a call from the
RoadMasters to try out. Well, here he is, still performing with the
RoadMasters and enjoying every moment of it.
His Moto: Never give up on something you love to do unless it hurts - then
bail....
